The residents of this 65-unit upper north shore apartment complex were keen to embrace EV charging. There were EV owners with an immediate need, plus they saw EV charging as a value-add for future owners/investors.

However, there was a level of uncertainty - questions surrounded installation, regulation, usage, ongoing maintenance and management.

​

enevi worked closely with the owners corporation, consulting with the group to design the right solution for their current needs.

​

The group agreed to the installation of two EV chargers in the basement visitor's carpark. enevi managed the full process, offering a turn key solution. This included consultation, design, installation, line marking of the car parking kays and software implementation.

​

The adoption of enevi's smart software mean there are no need for additional retail metering, enevi's software tracks the existing electricity retailers time of use tariff's peak and off-peak windows to provide dynamic pricing. The residents pay for the EV charging sessions on a pay-as-you-go arrangement, through the enevi mobile app.

​

The owners corporation were also concerned about vehicles remaining in EV bays after charging, preventing others from charging. The group were able to set up additional idle fees within the enevi mobile app, which has motivated drivers to move their cars.

​

The ongoing revenue generated from EV Charging is provided back to the owners corporation. The revenue covers the energy costs and ongoing maintenance of the two chargers.
