Citadel Towers is a prominent commercial office complex in the heart of Chatswood CBD. With two towers and rising up to 20 storeys, it houses many professional businesses, including key tenants Huawei, PepsiCo and CBA.

​

The property management team sought to implement a modern and scalable electric vehicle (EV) charging solution to meet increasing demand from tenants, while avoiding significant capital expenditure on electrical upgrades.

Consult & Design 

​

enevi presented a cost-effective solution to the client - the ability to integrate the new EV distribution and related charging infrastructure to the existing main switchboard, avoiding a costly replacement. This was achieved by installing the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure EV Charging Expert load management system.

​

This smart load management solution dynamically allocates available power, ensuring optimal performance of EV chargers within the building's electrical capacity.

Construct

​

There was a desire from the Client for an expandable EV solution - to meet current use, as well as grow into the future. To meet this requirement, enevi recommended the Schneider Electric Canalis busbar trunking system. This is a modular design, to ensure the operation is adaptable and scable, making it easy to add additional chargers as the need grows.

​

Furthermore, enevi integrated with the fire system to allow remote isolation of the charge points and installed additional thermal detection to EV charging bays, enhancing operational safety.

​

A total of 10 AC chargers were installed.

Operate & Maintain

​

The EV charging system operated as a shared asset for all building tenants. To facilitate fair usage, automated billing, and detailed performance reporting, the client implemented enevi's Charge Point Management System (CPMS), providing transparent control and efficient administration for all users.
