Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) is a provider of essential infrastructure, it owns, develops, and manages high quality, sustainable logistics properties and data centres in major global cities, that are critical to the digital economy.
Set in Eastern Creek, Western Sydney, at a large Industrial estate, the site includes Goodman's Western Sydney office, and the two key customers. The project goals were to implement a solar structure to support the energy and install EV chargers.
enevi's role included:
-
Assessment of the site's infrastructure
-
Provide EV product compatibility reporting
-
Design and implement EV charging system
-
Access to ongoing reporting and user management, through enevi CSMS.
This project was crucial to support Goodman's infrastructure - its NSW vehicle fleet was transitioning to fully electric vehicles within the year.
Additionally, this site was to be a trial case with plans to rollout EV charging systems at additional Goodman sites in Sydney.

Consultation phase
enevi carried out assessments to the Eastern Creek site, as well as the other potential Goodman sites. This was to make sure Goodman could electrify within a reasonable scope, across its offices in NSW.
Assessments included an electrical infrastructure audit and data acquisition of existing load profiles.
System Design
Through investigation, enevi identified that by using Schneider Electric's EcoStruxureTM EV Charging Expert we could avoid infrastructure upgrades and reduce the overall project timeframe and costs. This best-in-class load management system provides a fast, reliable and on premises solution monitoring the site load in real time providing the maximum available power to the charge points 24/7.
As the Building Management staff travel considerable distances, it was necessary to include a DC charger in the system design. The Tritium RTM50 was selected due to its compact design and dual CCS outlets. With its fast 50kW charge rate it can replenish a passenger vehicle from 10%, to greater than 80% in under 60 minutes.
Implementation phase
A total of 17 EV chargers were installed at Goodman's office at Eastern Creek, and approximately 8% of car spaces are now EV ready. enevi coordinated with several contractors to deliver safe, prompt delivery and high-quality implementation of this charging solution.
enevi Charge Station Management System
Our market leading system was deployed to provide Goodman was ongoing reporting, control over user management, creation of user groups to assist reporting, and over the air updates as required.
The data collection offers valuable insights into energy usage of Goodman's fleet and will enable informed decisions for future sites.
