Aurecon is design, engineering and advisory company. The team has consulted on many clean energy projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Aurecon operates an extensive fleet and had begun the task of electrification. enevi was engaged by electrical contractor, PM Electric, to design and implement an EV charging system. This was in conjunction with the sustainability team at JLL, for Aurecon's North Sydney office.
During the consultation and design phase, enevi recommended the inclusion of dynamic load management in conjunction to main switchboard modifications. This would future proof the building for Aurecon's plans to expand its BEV fleet.
A key learning and outcome of the project was the implementation of fire system integration. The Australian building code board released its recommendations during the design phase, around EV charging and fire safety. enevi worked alongside JLL's fire engineers to modify enevi's system design to meet the recommendations of the board.
By implementing these fire safety recommendations, enevi was able to provide a safe system for both building occupants and first responders.
